I am a certified Marriage and Family Therapist from Denver Family Institute and a Gestalt Therapist from the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies. I'm also an EMDR practitioner with a somatic focus clearing traumas, big and small. For the last 5 years, I have provided ongoing emotional and pastoral support to staff, patients and their loved ones as a chaplain at Boulder Community Hospital. With an undergraduate degree in Film & Television from New York University and an MA in Religious Studies from Naropa University, my work has been informed by the arts and the sacred mysteries. I feel passionate about the creative and spiritual processes and their place in our human experience. In my private practice, I offer psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. My work aspires to reinforce connection and infuse relationships with curiosity, vibrancy, and kindness. I assist people in contacting their own resourcefulness and health to cultivate an authentic and nourished life. |
My fifteen-year marriage has given me close-up experience of the challenges and richness of long term relationship. Raising two children in that time allows for an intimate understanding of families and how parenting can bring even the hardiest of us to our knees.
I specialize in stress-relief, shame, relational dynamics, trauma work, depression, women’s issues, self-expression, contemplative techniques and mindful living. I also serve those coping with illness, grief and loss, death and dying and other significant life transitions. Understanding the nature of suffering, the most humbling of teachers, and the way to freedom is my personal and professional life-long pursuit.
